TAED Foundation is a non-governmental organization dedicated to the promotion of sustainability in the discourse of development in Ghana.
At TAED, we define sustainability to mean ‘the ability of utilizing the resources of the nation to provide urgent but underserved services in our development without compromising on the ability of the future generations to do same’.
By this definition, we focus on three main sectors of our national development- Education, Healthcare and Democracy.
TAED hopes to promote sustainability in ‘education, healthcare and democracy’ in rural Ghana. At TAED, we believe these three sectors are interconnected and as such sustainability in the society cannot be achieved if these sectors are not critically looked at.
By focusing on rural Ghana, we shift our focus to the basic unit of the Ghanaian society where the negative effects of unsustainable practices are felt most and hope that in the same vain, the positive effects of our sustainable programmes will be felt first, thus driving the development of the nation.
Under our healthcare sector where we run free medical screening and education in rural and periurban communities.
Under our education sector where we aim at encouraging primary and secondary school students to actively learn Chinese language so as to have a wider access to the open markets.
